About the Author
John Lescroart is an American author of mystery novels. He is best known for his series of novels featuring private investigator Abe Glitsky.
Lescroart was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and raised in California. He attended the University of San Francisco and Hastings College of the Law. After graduating from law school, Lescroart worked as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney.
In 1989, Lescroart published his first novel, Son of Holmes. The novel was a critical and commercial success, and it launched Lescroart's career as a mystery writer.
Lescroart has written over 40 novels, including 18 in the Abe Glitsky series. His novels have been translated into 25 languages and have sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
Lescroart is a recipient of the Edgar Award and the Shamus Award. He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the International Thriller Writers.
Lescroart lives in California with his wife and two children.
